Vlynq Standard Licence
For buyers. “We” means Vlynq; “you” means the buyer.
Version 2026-10-11
1. Who grants this licence
Vlynq grants it to you. We hold the right to license the clip from the creator who filmed it. Your licence and your invoice both come from Vlynq.
2. What you get
When you pay, or download a clip marked free, you receive a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual licence to copy, edit, crop, colour-grade and combine the clip into your own productions, and to publish, broadcast, stream and distribute those productions in any media. There is no cap on views, copies or audience. Perpetual means for as long as copyright in the clip lasts.3. What a production is
A work in which the clip is one ingredient and which adds your own creative or editorial content — a film, an advert, a programme, an online video, a website, an app, a game, a presentation or a screening.
4. One production owner
You may make a production for your own business or for one client, and transfer this licence to that client. For another client, buy another licence. Your employees and contractors may handle the file only to work on your production, under these terms.5. Editorial-only clips
A clip marked Editorial use only may be used only to report on, comment on or document events or matters of public interest — news, documentary, education. Not in advertising, promotion, merchandise, or anything that endorses a product, service or cause. Only technical changes, trimming and resizing; do not alter what the footage shows.6. What you may not do
- Resell, sub-license, share or give away the clip, or something close to it, as a standalone file — including on another stock site or in a footage pack.
- Sell templates, merchandise or digital goods (including NFTs) where the clip is the main thing of value.
- Use the clip as part of a trademark, logo or brand identity.
- Use a logo, product, building or artwork visible in the clip to suggest its owner endorses you.
- Show an identifiable person as endorsing something, or connect them with a sensitive subject (health, sexuality, crime, debt, religion, politics and the like) without stating they are shown for illustration only. Never in a pornographic, defamatory or degrading context.
- Use the clip, its metadata or its location to train, fine-tune or evaluate any AI or machine-learning model, or put them in a dataset for that purpose. Using AI tools to edit your production is fine.
- Use the clip or its location to identify, locate, track, profile or contact anyone shown in it, or for facial recognition or surveillance.
- Use it unlawfully, in India or wherever you publish, or scrape or bulk-download the catalogue.
7. Location
We show you exactly where a clip was filmed after you buy it. It is for your production only, and clause 6 applies to it.
8. Downloading is separate from the licence
You can download your purchase while the clip is listed. If the creator unlists it, you have 30 days to download it again, so keep a copy. When downloading ends, your licence does not — productions you have made and copies you hold stay licensed.9. If a clip is taken down
If we take a clip down because of a rights, privacy or legal problem, we tell you why and may ask you to stop new uses. If we ask you to remove it from a production you have already published, we refund the licence fee and you remove it as far as you reasonably can. A clip hidden or taken down for any other reason stays licensed to you.10. What we promise
That we have the right to grant this licence, and that the clip used within it does not infringe anyone's copyright. We do not promise that a logo, trademark, building, artwork or person shown is cleared for your use beyond what the listing says about releases. For editorial clips, nothing is cleared.
11. Our liability
Limited to the amount you paid for the clip, except where Indian law does not allow a limit.12. When the licence ends
Automatically, if you break clause 5 or 6, or your payment is reversed or charged back. You must then stop using the clip and delete your copies.
13. Ownership
The creator keeps the copyright; you receive a licence, not ownership. No credit is required. For editorial use we ask you to credit “Creator name / Vlynq”.
14. Law and version
Governed by the laws of India; the courts at New Delhi have jurisdiction. The licence that applies to a purchase is the version in force on the day you bought it — this one is version 2026-10-11.
Creator Agreement
For creators listing stock footage. You accept it with the box on the upload form, and it applies to every clip you list.
Version 2026-10-11
1. Acceptance
You accept this agreement electronically when you tick the box on the upload form. We record your account, the time, your IP address and the version you accepted, and you agree that record is your written acceptance and signature under the Copyright Act 1957 and the IT Act 2000.
2. You keep the copyright
Nothing here transfers ownership of your footage to Vlynq.
3. The licence you give Vlynq
For every clip you list, a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, copy and transcode it and make watermarked previews; to show the previews, title, description, approximate location and your profile name publicly; to use them to promote the clip and Vlynq; and to grant licences to buyers in Vlynq's own name on the Standard Licence current at the time of sale — commercial or editorial-only as the listing says, including clips you mark free.4. How long it lasts
Showing and promoting a clip lasts until you unlist it, plus up to 30 days to clear previews from caches. Every licence already sold is perpetual and irrevocable and survives unlisting, deletion and account closure. These rights do not lapse for not being used.5. Non-exclusive
You may license the same clip anywhere else. Do not list a clip you have licensed to someone else exclusively, or that a client owns — a client owns the delivered files of a Vlynq job.
6. Price and your share
You set the price, including GST, at ₹20 or more, or mark the clip free. Vlynq is the seller and charges the GST. You earn 60% of the price before GST; Vlynq keeps 40%. On a ₹499 sale you earn ₹253.73. A free clip earns nothing.7. Payment
Earnings become payable 7 days after the sale and are paid automatically through Razorpay to the bank account in Settings → Payouts, once Razorpay has verified you. A sale refunded or charged back earns nothing; if you were already paid, it comes off future earnings. Any tax we must deduct is shown on the payout.8. Changing your share
Only with 30 days' notice by email, and never for sales already made.9. What you promise, for every clip
- You filmed it, or hold every right needed to grant this licence. Footage made mostly by generative AI is not allowed.
- It infringes no one’s copyright, trademark, design, privacy or personality rights.
- If it is marked commercial and anyone in it can be identified, you hold a signed model release from each of them — and a property release for private property that needs one. Without them, the clip is editorial only, and Vlynq lists it that way automatically.
- You filmed anyone identifiable lawfully, and meet any duty you owe them under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.
- It was not filmed where filming is prohibited, and shows no minor in a way that needs a guardian’s consent you do not hold.
- The description, location, usage and release answers are accurate.
10. Releases on request
Keep every release while the clip is licensable, and send it within 7 days if we ask. If you don't, we may make the clip editorial only or take it down.11. Takedowns
Clips are published without review. We may hide or take one down on a report, a legal notice or our own judgement, as the Terms describe. Licences already sold are unaffected, unless a buyer is refunded under clause 9 of the Standard Licence because a promise above was broken — then we may recover your share of that sale.12. Indemnity
If you break a promise in clause 9, you cover Vlynq's reasonable losses from the resulting claim, including buyer refunds and legal costs, up to the greater of ₹1,00,000 or your Vlynq earnings over the previous 12 months. The cap does not apply to fraud or deliberate infringement.13. Edits
Buyers will edit, crop and combine your clips, and no credit is required. You agree not to object to edits made within the licence.
14. AI training
Vlynq will not license your clips for AI or machine-learning training unless you opt in separately.
15. Footage from a Vlynq job
What you film for a commissioned job is governed by the commissioned footage terms: footage you did not deliver may be listed 90 days after the client's payment is released, unless the job was exclusive, and never showing the client's people, brand or premises.16. Ending, law and changes
You may end this agreement by unlisting all your clips or closing your account; we may end it, or suspend you, for a breach. Clauses 4, 7, 10, 11 and 12 survive. Governed by the laws of India; the courts at New Delhi have jurisdiction. We email you about a material change 30 days before it takes effect. This is version 2026-10-11.
